military insignia MEMORY.MIL military insignia
By Andy Deck
This unwinnable game began as a distortion of a children's matching game called "Memory". The use of military insignias stems from the observation that the era of over-abundant information coincides with a condition of perpetual war. It matters little that true histories and facts are documented if they are drowned out by a cacophony of competing narratives, lies, and commercial messages. MEMORY.MIL takes a dark look at the infinite potential of the image, challenging the fin de siecle tendency to view the Internet as an emerging solution for the reckless and destructive dynamics of genocidal public "interaction."
