This website represented the Detroit Area Peace With Justice Network. Their introductory statement was as follows:
We believe in bringing activists from local peace and justice organizations together with organizations and activists nationally and internationally in order to help create a mass social movement for peace and progressive change in society.
We believe non-violent mass action is the primary way to build peace, develop grassroots leadership, and instill confidence in our collective vision for a just society.
We believe in challenging the economic and political status quo. We believe that the erosion of secure, stable jobs, decline in living standards, cuts in wages and benefits, and deterioration of working people's rights worldwide are the direct result of pro-war and pro-corporate agendas which put profits before people.
